Permaculture Design Course

We have had a number of people express interest in a permablitz this year.  Permablitzes offer so many rewards – it’s a fabulous day of conversation, learning, connection, and of course progressing your landscape design.  From acreage to a small back yard, laying irrigation pipes, to weeding and everything in between, it’s a great skill share opportunity in a friendly environment.  Children are always welcome as they are the permies of the future!  If a blitz appeals to you, simply email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to submit an expression of interest and we will work with you to assist you in your day being a great success.

Fruit tree pruning skill share

Pruning time is fast approaching ...

Would you like to learn to prune mature/neglected fruit trees?

Ballarat Permaculture Guild is offering a pruning 'Skill Share' ie a practical, hands-on, free opportunity to learn to prune a range of mature deciduous fruit trees (and roses too if there's time).

Although this is a free event, you MUST register as places are limited to 15 for this event at Smythes Creek. You'll get the full address when you register by clicking the link in our Event Calendar or the Upcoming Events list.

You are encouraged to bring your own sharp secateurs, branch saws and loppers.

Please wear sensible, sturdy, waterproof footwear and dress for the Ballarat winter as it may very well be cold and wet.

Lunch will be supplied

Date: Sunday July 23rd

Time: 10am-4pm approx.

As you can see, our experienced pruners are waiting for you :-)
