BPG MEMBERS MUSHROOM WORKSHOP
April 29th, 2017 2-4.30pm Venue to be advised
This mushroom workshop will be run by Aaron Boyer of Urbankulture who recently ran some mushroom workshops in the district that were highly recommended by one of our Committee who attended (Karen!). His website is www.urbankulture.com.au
From the website:
"Aaron Boyer, the founder of Urban Kulture has been a fungiphile since 2010 and is fascinated by the idea of growing food from waste products, and the medicinal benefits that mushrooms provide. Aaron started his adventure collecting spent grains and coffee grounds from local breweries and cafes to reduce waste and grow mushrooms to supply local eating establishments, and Aaron is now sharing the knowledge and skills he has developed in mushroom cultivation by teaching 'Mushroom to Mushroom' workshops Australia wide."
Cost for BPG financial members ONLY is $20. Usually this workshop is $80 but we want to say "Thanks" to you for being a financial member so have decided to significantly subsidise the event. We plan to have a few such 'members-only' events each year.
**Please note this event is ONLY open to current financial members.
Numbers are limited and if we don't have sufficient enrolments from BPG members we will offer the remaining places to the public. (I doubt this will be needed). We know you might have friends or family who would love to do this workshop, but Aaron will also offer open public workshops throughout the year so perhaps they can book in there - or you'll be so good you can teach them yourself!
BOOKING details & venue to be confirmed and updated information will be posted here as soon as we have it. This event posting is to lock the date in your diary! We'll update the bookings stuff as soon as possible - hopefully by the end of next week. (We're still confirming Aaron's venue requirements, etc)
